WHO IS YOUR FAMILY
THUS SAITH THE LORD:
“IF ANY MAN COME TO ME, AND HATE NOT HIS FATHER, AND MOTHER, AND WIFE, AND CHILDREN, AND BRETHREN, AND SISTERS, YEA, AND HIS OWN LIFE ALSO, HE ….CANNOT….BE….MY….DISCIPLE.” LUKE 14/26.
“HATE,” GREEK WORD, “MISEO,” MEANING TO HATE: In Luke 14/26 Jesus contrasts love to family with love to Himself. Here Jesus asserts His deity. Every member of man`s family is a human being, and the love shown to humans compared to the love shown to Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, must be so different that the former seems like hatred. The meaning of “miseo” as loving less is made clear in Math. 10/37, “HE THAT LOVETH FATHER OR MOTHER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME: AND HE THAT LOVETH SON OR DAUGHTER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME.” (Zodhiates Dictionary, New Testament)
“While He yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood without, DESIRING to speak with Him. Then one said unto Him, behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, DESIRING to speak with thee.” Math. 12/46-47.

GREEK WORD, “ZETEO,” MEANS TO SEEK, LOOK FOR, STRIVE TO FIND WITH EARNESTNESS AND ANXIETY, IN A DEMANDING MANNER:
WHAT WAS CHRIST`S ANSWER TO THOSE WHO IMPLIED THAT HE
SHOULD ATTEND TO “HIS MOTHER`S, AND HIS BRETHREN`S DEMANDS,” PLACING AND
HONOURING THEM ABOVE ALL ELSE AT HAND?
“WHO IS MY MOTHER? AND WHO ARE MY BRETHREN? AND HE
STRETCHED FORTH HIS HAND TOWARD HIS DISCIPLES, AND SAID, BEHOLD MY MOTHER AND
MY BRETHREN!.... FOR…. WHOSOEVER…. SHALL…. DO…. THE…. WILL…. OF…. MY…. FATHER….
WHICH…. IS…. IN…. HEAVEN,…. THE…. SAME…. IS…. MY…. BROTHER,…. AND…. SISTER,….
AND…. MOTHER.” MATH. 12/48-50.
It couldn`t be any clearer than that, could it? Jesus
made it quite clear,………
WHO HIS FAMILY IS: WHO HE DOTES ON: WHO HE LOVES: WHICH
IS TO BE THE SAME FOR ALL THOSE WHO COUNT THEMSELVES SAVED:
THE FAMILY UNIT TO LOVE AND ESTEEM,…IS,…. THE FAMILY
OF GOD:
NOT A MIXTURE OF CHRISTIANS AND UNSAVED, UNREGENERATE
SINNERS IN FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER: 2 COR. 6/14-18.
“SUPPOSE YE THAT I AM COME TO GIVE PEACE ON EARTH? I
TELL YOU, NAY; BUT RATHER DIVISION: FOR FROM HENCEFORTH THERE SHALL BE FIVE IN
ONE HOUSE DIVIDED, THREE AGAINST TWO AND TWO AGAINST THREE. THE FATHER SHALL BE
DIVIDED AGAINST THE SON, AND THE SON AGAINST THE FATHER; THE MOTHER AGAINST THE
DAUGHTER, AND THE DAUGHTER AGAINST THE MOTHER; THE MOTHER IN LAW AGAINST HER

HOUSEHOLD. HE THAT LOVETH FATHER OR MOTHER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME:
AND HE THAT LOVETH SON OR DAUGHTER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME.” MATH.

Allow me to pose an hypothesis to you all:
Suppose we are in “The Great Tribulation,” (remembering, the church, all of us, saved and unsaved, are going through the tribulation, Rev. 3/10, Math. 24/13.) and the antichrist decrees that unless you receive the mark of the beast, you will not be able to feed your children, or, unless you receive the mark of the beast, he will kill your wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, kindred; or, you are just a young couple and you have babies, toddlers, and you won`t be able to feed them unless you receive the mark of the beast; (no wonder Jesus said, “And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give such in those days!” Math. 24/19.)
