SAUL

THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Tim. 4/3-4.

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” 1 Sam. 8/4-5.

“AND ON WHOM IS ALL THE DESIRE OF ISRAEL? IS IT NOT ON THEE,” 1 SAM. 9/20. (“shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”)

The children of Israel wanted an ear tickling fake to rule over them, wanted to “heap to themselves a teacher,” “LIKE ALL THE NATIONS,” AND, GUESS WHAT? LOVING FATHER GAVE THEM WHAT THEY WANTED, ..SAUL:

The church in these end times is filled with “false Christs, false Apostles, false Prophets, false Teachers,” 2 Pet. 2, Math. 24/24, Mk. 13/22, in abundance, as it is written, all of which are able to thrive at the altar, because the hearts of the people are not 100% in love with Jesus, they are Laodicean, idolatrous, covetous, lovers of things of this world, one foot in either camp, (or so they think,) lukewarm, not fully committed to following Jesus, but pursue, money, property, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, mateship, pre-eminence, power, control, position, acceptance of people rather than God`s acceptance, they love money, life, family, ease, comfort, THEMSELVES, more than they love Jesus, they look for excuses, convenient doctrine to justify and excuse their compromised Christian, (SINFUL,) walk; AND THERE ARE, IF I MAY USE THE WORD, INNUMERABLE RANKS OF SAULS WHO ARE ONLY TOO WILLING TO ACCOMMODATE THEM FROM MAN MADE PLATFORMS, PODIUMS RIGHT ACROSS THIS COUNTRY:

LET`S LOOK AT SOME CHARACTER TRAITS OF SAUL:

FIRST FOREMOST AND LAST OF ALL, SAUL IS A LOVER OF,……….SELF:

NOT A LOVER OF GOD:

“Now therefore hearken unto their voice: HOWBEIT YET PROTEST SOLEMNLY UNTO THEM, AND SHEW THEM THE MANNER OF THE KING THAT SHALL REIGN OVER THEM.” 1 SAM. 8/9.

“And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: HE will take your sons, and appoint them for HIMSELF, for HIS chariots, and to be HIS horsemen; and some shall run before HIS chariots. (loves pre-eminence, loves to “be seen of men,” make a big entrance, be announced, sees the position of king/pastor/teacher etc., as HIS, not Loving Fathers`, John 7/16, takes strong men to himself to make his position look good to the people, to strengthen what he perceives as HIS MINISTRY, whilst using the excuse that he is doing God`s work:) And HE will appoint HIM captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; (he takes control, a manipulative seducer of people, dominates, plans, instigates, and builds religious abominations and calls them church with himself in charge of subordinates, underlings, yes men, cell group leaders, who say how high when he says jump; Math. 20/25-28;) and will set them to ear HIS ground, and to reap HIS harvest, and to make HIS instruments of war, and instruments of HIS chariots. (he gets the folk in his congregations to pray for souls, to witness, win souls, to preach the gospel, TO DO HIS WORK FOR HIM, 1 Pet. 5/3; not for the kingdom of God`s sake, BUT SO THAT HIS CHURCH WILL INFLATE WITH NUMBERS, WHICH THEN, IN TURN RELATES TO A BIGGER PODIUM TO BE SEEN OF MEN, MORE MONEY, MORE REAL ESTATE, NEW CARS, SILK SUITS, TRIPS OVERSEAS ETC ETC ETC., Math. 23/5;) And HE will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. ( all that free labour, what a bonus, cleaning the church, tending the coffee shop, book shop, the op shop, bookkeeping, playing the role of secretary, receptionist etc., cooking meals at dinners, supplying the food etc., cleaning up afterwards, Math. 23/14;) And HE will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to HIS servants. (he shares the spoils and income of the institutionalized abomination with his closest and most favoured yes men, those that brown nose him, don`t rock the boat, give him any trouble, support HIS ministry, HIMSELF 100% WHETHER HE IS RIGHT OR WRONG, Jude 16; and then tells everyone that these weaklings are,……..faithful and true, 2 Pet. 2/3,18;…when all they are doing it for, is to get and maintain HIS acceptance and approval, and gain elevation, get noticed, get a promotion in the eyes of the people,) And HE will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to HIS officers, and to HIS, servants. ( he rewards those that support and elevate, recommend his ministry, he always preaches on tithing, money, giving, first fruits offerings, memorial offerings etc., always chasing money, 1 Tim. 6/7-10; God will give you double, one hundredfold more etc.,) And HE will take your menservants, and your maid servants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to HIS work. HE will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be HIS servants. 1 Sam. 8/11-17. (again, he puts folk under his control to work to reap souls, money, not for Jesus sake, but for his, to make him look like some sort of spiritual big shot: Ro. 16/18, Phil. 3/19;)

“And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And Saul said, bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, (his leadership is controlled by fear and doubt, and not trust and faith,) and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. AND SAMUEL SAID TO SAUL, THOU HAST DONE FOOLISHLY: THOU HAST NOT KEPT THE COMMANDMENT OF THE LORD THY GOD, WHICH HE COMMANDED THEE: 1 SAM.13/8-13.

“Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” 1 Sam. 14/3. “And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt. AND HE TOOK AGAG THE KING OF THE AMALEKITES ALIVE, AND UTTERLY DESTROYED ALL THE PEOPLE WITH THE EDGE OF THE SWORD. BUT SAUL AND THE PEOPLE SPARED AGAG, AND THE BEST OF THE SHEEP, AND OF THE OXEN, AND OF THE FATLINGS, AND THE LAMBS AND ALL THAT WAS GOOD, AND WOULD NOT UTTERLY DESTROY THEM: BUT EVERY THING THAT WAS VILE AND REFUSE, THAT THEY DESTROYED UTTERLY.” 1 SAM. 15/7-9. Saul compromises the command of the Lord for his own personal political gain, for his own standing with the people, he sees his position as dependant on their acceptance of him, and not God`s. As well as himself being covetous for material gain, he fools himself into thinking he has carried out Loving Father`s command, (1 Sam. 15/13,) with a perverted heresy that accommodates and combines the Spirit with sinful flesh, and in thus doing, the truth is, HE DISOBEYS GOD, HE IS NOT AN OBEDIENT SERVANT OF THE LORDS, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS GOING TO COST HIM, HE IS TOO AFRAID OF LOSING WHAT HE PERCEIVES AS HIS THRONE/MINISTRY, SO HE COMPROMISES THE WORD OF THE LORD TO APPEASE THE PEOPLE,…..TICKLE ITCHING EARS WITH A CONVENIENT DOCTRINE,….(LIE). GIVING IN TO THE PEOPLE AND THEIR DEMANDS, A PEOPLE PLEASER,… NOT A GOD PLEASER…………AS WELL AS BEING A LOVER OF “THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD.” 1 John 2/15-17:

Saul is jealous, envious of any true hearted man of God that comes along, seeing them as a threat to HIS position, ministry; 1 Sam. 18/6-9. He is frightened that the true man of God will take his position; 1 Sam/18/12,29. He seeks to destroy the royal seed, the true man of God, to eliminate the competition; 1 Sam/18/11,19/10. If that doesn`t work, he thinks he can bribe, manipulate and control the true man of God, especially by letting him marry into the family thinking that he can control through the influence he has with his relatives on the true man of God; 1 Sam 18/17. He is not happy even when the true man of God is gone from his fellowship, he pursues him, seeking to destroy him; 1 Sam. 19/19-23, 24, 26. Saul perceives the true man of God, as his enemy; 1 Sam. 18/29,19/17. He tries to win accomplices, support to destroy David, “alluring through the lusts of the flesh,” 1 Sam/20/31. He is not above using fear, threats, intimidation, force to get his own way, doesn`t hesitate to get rid of good people who disagree with him; 1 Sam/22/7-21. Saul is stubborn, rebellious; 1 Sam./15/23. Saul is anointed of God; 1 Sam./10/1.

Saul does operate in the gifts of the Spirit; 1 Sam./10/11-12, 19/24.

What more can we say about Saul, he dilutes, compromises, perverts the commandments of The Lord, holding the favour of the people in higher esteem than the favour of God, arguing, contending, trying to justify his position, even to the face of God`s man, the Prophet, he dominates, controls, rules by fear and intimidation, and if that doesn`t work, uses cunning manipulation to take charge, falsely accuses David, is a covenant breaker, a traitor, unthankful, unholy, fierce, despises those that are good, loves the pre-eminence, sees the leadership as his, and not Gods`, loves wealth and all the trappings that come with it, cannot stand on his own, has not the strength of relationship with Loving Father to trust for deliverance in time of trouble, has to rope in any strong valiant man to prop up his leadership/ministry, loves his ease, comfort, is a SELF absorbed puffed up, proud, (1 Sam. 15/17,) jealous, egotistical autocrat, in short is a LOVER OF SELF, NOT A LOVER OF GOD:

THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD:

“THIS KNOW ALSO, THAT IN THE LAST DAYS PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME. FOR MEN SHALL BE LOVERS OF THEIR OWN SELVES, COVETOUS, BOASTERS, PROUD, BLASPHEMERS, DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS, UNTHANKFUIL, UNHOLY, WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION, TRUCEBREAKERS, FALSE ACCUSERS INCONTINENT, FIERCE, DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD, TRAITORS, HEADY, HIGHMINDED, LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD; HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT DENYING THE POWER THEREOF: FROM SUCH TURN AWAY. 2 TIM. 3/1-5.

RECOGNISE ANY OF THE ABOVE TRAITS IN YOUR LIFE, YOUR MINISTRY?

HOW MANY IN LEADERSHIP ACROSS THIS LAND HAVE REJECTED THE WORD OF THE LORD AS DID SAUL?

HOW MANY IN MINISTRY ACROSS THIS LAND HAVE WRITTEN, PHONED US, ARGUED, CONTENDED, HARRANGUED US ABOUT THE TRUTH, THE HOLY SCRIPTURES THAT WE PUT THEM IN REMEMBRANCE OF?

HOW MANY PASTORS/SAULS IN THIS COUNTRY CLING TO EAR TICKLING HERESY SUCH AS WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP, ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, DON`T WORRY ABOUT YOUR SIN, YOU ARE UNDER GRACE, GOD WANTS YOU TO BE RICH, LIVE ON EASY STREET, THE POSITIVE FAITH CONFESSION BLAB AND GRAB DOCTRINE, A GREAT END TIME REVIVAL IS GOING TO SWEEP THIS COUNTRY, UNSOLICITED MAIL, DON`T JUDGE, ETC ETC?

HOW MANY FALSE APOSTLES, FALSE PROPHETS, FALSE TEACHERS PUT THEIR OWN INTERPRETATIONS ON THE HOLY WRITINGS SO AS TO ACCOMMODATE TARDY, LUKEWARM, IDOLATROUS, COVETOUS, PROUD, STUBBORN, FALSE BRETHREN FULL OF SIN AND INIQUITY IN THEIR RESPECTIVE CONGREGATIONS?

HOW MANY MINISTERS CAN SEE THE TRUTH,…..BUT,…..THEY WON`T YIELD TOTALLY, THEY HOLD BACK, HESITATE, WON`T FOLLOW THE CHRIST WHOLEHEARTEDLY BECAUSE THEY ARE FRIGHTENED OF OFFENDING THEIR CONGREGATIONS, LOSING NUMBERS?

HOW MANY IN LEADERSHIP TICKLE ITCHING EARS WITH A DOCTRINE OF SELF, PREACHING WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET IN RETURN FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THEIR HERESY, INSTEAD OF PREACHING A DOCTRINE OF SELF-DENIAL?

HOW MANY PENTECOSTALS ARE OFFENDED, HAVE BEEN OFFENDED, (AS WAS THE PHARISEES AND SCRIBES,) BY THE MATERIAL THAT STRAIGHT TALK MINISTRIES DISPENSES?

HOW MANY IN MINISTRY ARE JUST AMBITIOUS FOR A PLATFORM, POWER, CONTROL, “TO BE SEEN OF MEN,”?

HOW MANY ARE COVETOUS LOVERS OF FILTHY LUCRE?
