SANBALLAT

THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD:

As most of you probably realize, Sanballat was in opposition to Nehemiah rebuilding the temple at Jerusalem, a particularly nasty enemy, full of all subtlety, and deceit:

THE NAME SANBALLAT MEANS, “HATE IN DISGUISE;” A satrap of the king of Persia, in Samaria. He is called a Horonite. His daughter married a man whose father had been high-priest at Jerusalem. His son-in-law having thus transgressed the law, was deprived of his priesthood; hence Sanballat built a temple for him on mount gerizim, near Samaria, and made him high-priest of it. Ne. 2.10, 19; 4.1, 7; 6. 1,2,5,12,14; 13.28. (Quote from Jones` Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names:)

The word satrap means, a governor of a province, as with the case of Sanballat, a puppet of Artaxerxes, the Persian king: The word Horonite means “two caverns,” interesting eh? Here we have a duplicitous man, half jew, half infidel, living in Samaria, who is the governor of the land, who decides to build an imitation of the temple for his son-in-law whose father had been high-priest at Jerusalem, and he installed his son-in-law in it as high-priest.

So, to all intents and purposes, here we have a temple of worship set up, that looks right, sounds right, smells right, feels right, an imitation, a cheap fraud, hoodwinking the folk of the land into thinking that they are worshiping Yaweh, set up by a true “wolf in sheep`s clothing.”

There are many in Pentecostal circles to-day that are no different, they have set up a pseudo church, a cheap imitation of Christianity, preaching another gospel, (Gal. 1/6,7,8,9:) full of self placating doctrines of the Nicolaitanes, sugar coated scriptures only permitted, following another Jesus, and just like Sanballat, when the real deal shows up, they persecute, mock, fight, reject, harangue, (because of envy,) and hate the “work of The Lord,” trying to stop it being accomplished, mainly because they see it as COMPETITION TO THEIR LITTLE TOTEM POLE, THEIR SEPELCURE, THEIR MEMORIAL TO THEMSELVES THAT THEY HAVE SET, OR ARE TRYING TO SET UP. THE TRUTH THREATENS THEM,………. TOO HOT TO HANDLE:

MEN THAT ARE SAMARITAN IN THEIR MAKE-UP, ONE FOOT EITHER SIDE OF THE FENCE, DUPLICITOUS BY NATURE, (LIKE SANBALLAT,) HALF CHRISTIAN, HALF WORLDLY, NEITHER HOT NOR COLD IN THEIR WALK WITH CHRIST: REV. 3/15.

MEN THAT BURN “STRANGE FIRE BEFORE THE LORD:” LEV. 10/1, NU. 3/4, 26/61. WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING:

MEN AND CHURCHES WHO “HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT DENY THE POWER THEREOF.” (LIKE SANBALLAT:) 2 TIM. 3/5.

MEN THAT, EVERYTHING THEY DO, THEY DO “TO BE SEEN OF MEN:” MATH. 23/5.

MEN THAT LOOK FOR ANY OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE THEMSELVES TO OTHERS: (eg, getting others to publish, promote their material:) MATH. 23/12.

MEN THAT LOOK FOR OTHER MEN TO, “SPEAK WELL OF THEM:” (eg, huge introductions, references, writing their own CV`S, or getting others to write it for them, so as to sell moi to unstable souls so they can beguile them:) JOHN 5/44.

MEN THAT LOOK TO OTHER MEN FOR RECOGNITION, WANTING TO BE DISCOVERED: (LIKE SANBALLAT`S SON-IN-LAW:) JOHN 5/44.

MEN THAT LOOK TO OTHER MEN TO, “PROMOTE THEM INTO POSITIONS OF LEADERSHIP:” (LIKE SANBALLAT`S SON-IN-LAW:) JOHN 5/44.

MEN THAT HAVE STUDIED AT UNIVERSITIES, BIBLE COLLEGES ATTAINING DEGREES, “MAKING BROAD THEIR PHYLACTERIES AND ENLARGING THE BORDERS OF THEIR GARMENTS,” “EVER LEARNING AND NEVER ABLE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH:” MATH. 23/5, 2 TIM. 3/7.

MEN THAT LOVE THE “CHIEF SEATS ON THE PODIUM IN CHURCH:” MATH. 23/6.

MEN THAT LOVE TO BE TITLED, CALLED REVEREND, DOCTOR, PASTOR, TEACHER, MASTER, “RABBI, RABBI:” MATH. 23/7-11.

MEN THAT ONLY PREACH AND TEACH AN EASY ON THE EAR GOSPEL, DOCTRINE THAT DOESN`T MAKE FOLK FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, UNEASY, OFFENDED, CONVICTED OF THEIR SIN AND BACKSLIDINGS, MEN THAT OMIT “THE WEIGHTIER MATTERS OF THE LAW, JUDGMENT, MERCY AND FAITH,” IN THEIR PREACHING AND TEACHING: MATH. 23/23, 2 TIM. 4/3-4.

MEN THAT “LOVE THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD,” EVEN WRITING PAPERS, JUSTIFYING SUCH THINGS,………AS CHRISTMAS,…..EASTER…..BOTH ABOMINATIONS BEFORE THE LORD: 1 JOHN 2/15-16.

MEN THAT ARE LOVERS OF “FILTHY LUCRE,” AND WOULD BE RICH, LOVE TO DRIVE FLASH CARS, LIVE IN FLASH HOUSES, MONEY IN THE BANK, SELL THEIR PREACHING FOR………MONEY………. 1 PET. 5/2. 1 TIM. 6/9-10. 2 TIM. 2/4-5. MATH. 10/8. MEN THAT ARE COVETOUS:

MEN THAT ALLOW WOMEN TO PREACH AND TEACH, “USURPING AUTHORITY OVER MEN:” 1 TIM. 2/11-15.

MEN THAT OUTWARDLY APPEAR TO BE HOLY, RIGHTEOUS MEN OF GOD, BUT INWARDLY THEY ARE FULL OF HATE, AND ENVY, “DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD,” (AS WAS SANBALLAT:) MATH. 23/27-28.

MEN THAT LAY IN WAIT FOR THOSE THAT ARE GOOD, TRYING TO CATCH THEM IN THEIR WORDS AND ACTIONS: MK. 12/13, LUKE 11/54.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof: 2 Tim. 3/1-5. As we have stated before, Paul is talking about lukewarm, idolatrous, vacillating hypocrites in this passage of scripture:

“But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men as theirs also was.” 2 Tim. 3/9.

“BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEM:”
