The following is
documentation sent and received from one Steve Penny of Kings Church Buderim.
Having read the absurd goings on by said Minister in the so named church in the
Sunday Sun edition dated 27-07-08.
Below are words
penned by Lou Robson and quoted from his article titled, “POWER FROM ABOVE,
MORTALS BEND TO WILL OF GOD`S MUSCLE MEN” in the Sunday Sun.
Quote: “They are
religious theatrics at their best,” “Some crowd members were shocked.
Prime-time advertisements last week detailing
the group`s feats of strength failed to
mention the religious nature of the performance.” ‘They`re bloody
God-botherers,’ said a tattooed and irate patron at Friday night`s show. ‘What
the hell`s going on here?’ (Ro. 2/24)……… “The Samson-like show of strength took
place at the Kings Christian Church Champions Centre, a $4.5 million facility at Buderim, 100km. north of Brisbane. The facility is no stranger to
evangelical entertainment. Services
at the Pentecostal church are all big
screens and music, light displays
and hands-free head microphones. Sermons are podcast and can be bought on
DVD. (John 2/16). Pastor
Steve Penny said the bells and whistles
(refer Straight Talk paper, The Word of Faith on website) were necessary to
keep the church alive. But in April last year, the church came under fire for giving away cars and offering churchgoers
everything from free cappuccinos to weekends away. (2 Pet. 2/3) The church,
which has incurred $5 million in debt
(Ro. 13/8) building the auditorium and planning a 2500-seat Worship Centre, (2
Thes. 2/3, John 2/66, John 9/4, Ro. 11/5), seems undeterred (1 Kings 16/31, 1 Tim. 4/2, Eph. 4/19,) and will give
away a new motor scooter at tonight`s Team Impact performance and a
Suzuki car in coming weeks. The car is parked inside the church next to an ATM and flat screens detailing
Kings` tithe or “heaven tax” donation system. (2 Pet. 2/13-15, Jude 11, Col. 3/5).
THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD:
“BUT THEY SHALL PROCEED NO FURTHER: FOR THEIR FOLLY SHALL BE
MANIFEST UNTO ALL MEN, AS THEIRS ALSO WAS.” 2 TIM. 3/9.

WORDS MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU: 2 PET. 2/3.
Having read
about these preposterous goings on, it behooves us to send Steve Penny an
admonishment, warning,…. again,……… “speaking the truth in love, in the spirit
of meekness, earnestly contending for the faith,” to “turn from his wicked
ways.” Especially since he is supposed to be a Teacher, one skilled in “The
Word of The Lord,” one who knows what the Scripture saith, ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT

You who should
be a Bastion of Truth and Integrity, you who should be a Warrior for the Truth,
you have deserted, betrayed Christ, The Word of God, committed high treason,
perverted The Truth:
Just like the
Elders and Princes of Israel
in Ez. 8/16, you have turned your back on Holy Writ, Dogma, Holy Tenet, The Scriptures,
The Word of God, you have turned your back on God, denied The Christ:
you have denied, ignored, refused the Truth: Instead you choose to tickle
folk`s money bone, entice with smooth words, perverting Scripture, compromising
the Truth, appealing, and validating “covetousness which is idolatry” in your
selfish ambition for pre-eminence, position, power, money, popularity: Fooling
yourself into thinking that you are doing God`s will!!!!! “And through
covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose
judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

You have traded
the Truth off for the filthiness of the world with cheap theatre, offering
prizes, cars, holidays, light shows, scooters, (all of which this ministry has
tried to warn you about previously), in your effort to keep up attendances, and
increase numbers:
You, who state,
“the church is dead without it”; pretty soon, you, your ministry, and
the church will be DEAD WITH IT!!!!! Jude 12…..If you and your church aren`t
already there:
You who sell
your sermons for…….MONEY,…… “FEEDING YOUR BELLY!!!!!!” You have become an
“enemy of the cross:”
You who have
become no different from Ahab: “And it came to pass, as if it had been a light
thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son Nebat,” 1 Kings16/31.
You who
“refuses to be ashamed, therefore the showers have been withholden, and there
hath been no latter rain: because you have a whore`s forehead.” Jer. 3/3.
You who have
played the harlot, committing fornication and adultery with the things of this
world, Jer. 3., and causing the people to “fornicate and commit sacrilege”,
Rev. 2/20:
You who think
“because I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and
knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked: I COUNSEL THEE TO BUY OF ME GOLD TRIED IN THE FIRE, THAT THOU MAYEST BE
RICH; AND WHITE RAIMENT, THAT THOU MAYEST BE CLOTHED, AND THAT THE SHAME OF THY
NAKEDNESS DO NOT APPEAR; AND ANOINT THINE EYES WITH EYESALVE, THAT THOU MAYEST

these things, otherwise the church would be dead without it”.

has betrayed the Lord Christ, committed high treason and refused to receive the
admonishment, the exhortation, (nouthesia), the warning of his reprobate ways: (2
Tim. 4/2, Tit. 2/15, Heb. 3/13, Gal. 6/1): By his own words, his ministry lacks
the convicting power of the Holy Spirit to convert, save, heal and deliver:

There are some of you in a
confused condition about all of this, you have a heart for Christ,…but you
straddle the fence, one foot either side, (just like Judas) bouncing between
the challenge of absolute obedience to “The love of the Truth” (1 Cor. 13/6, 2
Thes. 2/10) wholeheartedly, (John 14/15, 21, 23), and using the filthy
marketing and promotional methods in the world, (which ply on folks`
covetousness, lust, tickling their money bone, their “love of pleasure”, their
lust to be entertained, 2 Tim. 3/2, have their emotions tickled 2 Tim. 4/3), promoted
and advocated to you by charlatans in your
religious, institutionalized abomination, duplicitous in your affections, your
heart divided between “God and mammon”, Math. 6/24, wholehearted love for
Loving Father Son and Holy Ghost ( Math. 22/37-38, Mk. 12/29-30) and the things
of the world:
