The other day as I watched the supposed, pretend Christian channel on fox, I see a program wholly devoted too, .wait for it, ..here it comes, .
FISHING, MOOOOOOOOOVIES, RESTAURANTS, BEACHES, SUN, SURF, RELAXATION ETC. ETC. ETC. A PROGRAM PROMOTING, PLEASURES
IS THIS RIGHT?.......
SURELY THIS IS A GROSS INSULT TO THE ONE WHO BRINGS PEACE TO OUR SOULS: EPH.

A holiday destination but for most unseen;
It promises fun, relaxation and more,
Alluring advertising so please come to our shores;
There`s food and laughter, more than one could take,
And drink a plenty, a great occasion we`ll make;
Drink and be merry and forget all your woes,
You`ve earned this holiday, they`ll be no foes;
We`ve golden sands upon which you can walk,
And tourist attractions for yourselves as you talk;
And shopping galore do those cards get a hiding?
Perhaps frenzied shopping, are the banks you obliging?
You`ve worked hard all year, you`ve earned all this rest,
At this island destination, you chose the best;
But underneath all this glitz and glamour,
Or is it that you`re attracted to all this clamour;
But someone can offer you that perfect rest,
A holiday destination that is the world`s best;
You don`t have to stand in a line to be served,
All you need is a little courage and nerve;
You`ll be fed daily, you`ll be happy to boot,
And there`ll be drink a plenty, it will cost you no loot;
Forgetting your problems, He won`t be your foe,
And slowly and surely you`ll forget all your woes;
Your house will be built upon the Rock,
Unlike the sands that you`re treading, your past slowly forgot;
You won`t need those expeditions in haste,
With the wine that you`re drinking a new life He will make;
You don`t have to save to be in perfect rest,
Waiting once a year to holiday with the best;
You won`t need all that glitz and glamour,
He`ll be what you`re searching for, eternal peace, not clamour;
You won`t be worshipping the golden calf of fraud,
But be in His presence, a new life you`ll applaud;
So be courageous, fearless and bold,
With outstretched arms as your heart beforehand told;
Huh, first we had love of money promoted, (1 Tim. 6/9-10), then women pastors, (1 Tim. 2/11-15, 1 Cor. 14/34-35), then the blab and grab positive confession witchcraft routine, then merchandising, selling books, tapes, videos, CDs etc., carrying on business, coffee shops, (John 2/16), then don`t worry about your sin you are under grace, (Ro. 6/1-2), then rock rhythm and beat, (Ez. 28/13), then dimmed lighting, smoke and mirrors, night club/cabaret/mosh pit atmosphere, (John 3/19-20), then alcohol is OK, (Pro. 20/1),..
Now mooooovies and a life of ease and comfort for the flesh: (1 John 2/15-16): What are you going to ratify next gents, BROTHELS, GAMBLING, STEALING, ADULTERY!!!!
NO WONDER YOU ARE BEREFT OF POWER! (2 TIM. 3/5). IT REMINDS ME OF THE WORDS OF A SIMON AND GARFUNKEL SONG: SLIP SLIDING AWAY, SLIP SLIDING AWAY, THE NEARER YOUR DESTINATION THE MORE YOU`RE SLIP SLIDING AWAY. (HOS. 11/7), (2 PET. 2/1-3), (JUDE).
