The following is an email we received from a seeker in Perth WA. I think it outlines very well the of operation of a CULT. As you will see from her email to us where she outlines the methods and systems of Sunset Coast Christian Life Centre Joondalup Pastored by Gerard Keehan, the focus is on domination, manipulation, control, (Math. 20/25-28, Mk. 10/42-45, Luke 22/25-27), and if one does not respond to these methods, one is gifted with a tirade of angry rebuff, (1 Pet. 5/3, 2 Tim. 2/24-26), all typical of cult mentality and method of control, along with the usual intimidation and shame tactics: As you will see from her email, the central focus of this institutionalised, religious abomination is not on Christ as it should be, (John 16/14),.........but everything pivots on one man heading up this piece of harlotry, Gerard Keehan: All the control and focus comes back to him, and from him, nothing more than another business enterprise, (2 Tim. 2/4-5, Math. 6/24, 10/8, Luke 16/13, John 2/16, ), a pyramid with a CEO just like the unrighteous mammon of the world,...... and with a splash of regurgitated chaff, religion, now a CULT, A SECT, A FUNNY LITTLE IT`S ALL ABOUT ME BLESS ME CLUB:

I am back again It is so hot here in Perth about 35 degrees. In the process of organising your gift...Back home now and I just had lunch. How is the weather there??

I am glad I sent you the Graham Cooke’s Website – He has conferences organised here in Perth and around Australia. There were a few red bells ringing for me during the week when I heard about it and now after reading your paper “Carry Forth the filthiness out of the Holy Place” I am learning so much, and I always thought that this was what they were doing in the AOG church in particular. I am still in the middle of reading them and well, what a disgrace and to make it appear “normal” when it is not even biblical; leading people astray and deceiving them is an outrage. Yes the more I read your article the more I realise what is happening with the deal about Grahame Cooke being the “talk of the town” and his ”Kingdom "dominion" dreaming theory.

I found it unsettling when I visited Sunset.

My very first impression as I walked into that building I thought – Oh no, this is “big business” and thought the “AOG” Church has just got a whole lot worse and materialistic to the extreme. They have turned this church into an enterprise, “the boys at the top” – Bevan I call it an “AOG “FRANCHISE” with a bookshop, a coffee stall, where you have to queue and pay for your coffee after church, there is no “free” coffee offered to the congregation it is “free” only for visitors, which is in the “Visitor Lounge.” (I went in there anyway for a coffee until one of the ladies there, demanded I leave and with my newly saved friend, who was still classified as a visitor) – They charged for all their Christian courses, all their church events, they promote the bookshop, which the congregation is “encouraged” to purchase the books, they promote along with that Sunday’s Sermon on CD.

It was show business in every way with gigantic screens, cameras, lights and even a smoke machine. The Congregation are told to pay their tithes and on top of that, make a contribution towards any international guest speakers and ‘their ministry’ They are told that they must contribute towards their expenses for being there, along with their tithes, which are then are paid into and collected with big tin buckets!

The Senior Pastor, Ministry Team, Connect Groups

In relation to their Youth and Connect groups in Perth, each group has a leader and these Connect leaders report to the “Ministry Team Leaders.” These leaders then inform the Senior Pastor, Pastor Gerard.

He then listens to them and therefore, being equipped with this new ”personal information’ about people in the congregation, I believe, he then takes this information on the grounds of “unfounded information or second hand information, hearsay, rumour, gossip, then incorporates it into his preaching addressing those in his congregation. These very people, then actually think that the “Holy Spirit” is directly speaking to them through Pastor Gerard, when in fact it is the opposite. It is Mind Control and manipulation at its` very extreme.

Pastor Gerard never socialises, mixes in with, or meets or greets his congregation. He is never ‘on the floor’ or at the ‘front door’, instead he always disappears out the ‘back door’ after preaching his sermon.

The Formula

I was told by the Connect Group Leaders “One must first go to church and “get saved”, you must be “saved first” and then attend the “New Christian Course” then after that, and only after, can you “attend a Connect Group.” I managed to slip under the radar that is until, I started to question a few things including this ‘FORMULA’ with the leaders. I wanted to bring “unsaved” people who showed an interest and who also wanted to go with me to these Connect Groups. However I was met with a stern rebuff. The leaders told me I could “not bring any of my unsaved friends to the Connect Groups they had to GO TO CHURCH FIRST AND GET SAVED, before they could come to a Connect Group. This “formula” was repeated to me on more than one occasion. It was again repeated and confirmed to me by another leader in a different Connect Group.

I left the church the day I was told to leave the ‘Visitors Lounge’ with my friend. I was told I was becoming “part of the furniture” by one woman and another told us “YOU DO NOT BELONG IN HERE, YOU ARE NOT NEW CHRISTIANS, OR NEW VISITORS, when in fact it was the complete opposite.

During my brief visit at Sunset I have come to the conclusion that they are completely deceived and blantantly controlling, co-ercing, manipulating and deceiving many people. Well, That’s Sunset Coast Christian Life Centre... all based on, dictated to, by Brian Houstan’s infamous Hillsong. Not much but everything had changed in the AOG since I last visited.

It is sad as there are all these people there, most are just walking around in a daze they didn’t look very happy, like they were in some kind of haze or under some sort of ‘spell,’

I hear another ‘Franchise’ has just opened up around the corner....

What say you gents? Do you think the writer has just "killed you softly with her song?" Exposed, outlined your method of operation, AND THE MOTIVES FOR IT,..MONEY, PRE-EMMINENCE, POWER AND CONTROL? Does your, "franchise" operate the same way, to the same set of rules? March to the same drummer? I know it does because the "gospel on how to market your church" is the only way you can see to be what you being deceived think is a success to achieve numbers to pay for the institution that Loving Father did not tell you build in the first place, and keep you in the lifestyle that you would like to be accustomed too, being sin accommodating, worldly, money loving and lusting, ego massaging, ear tickling, convenient dogma purveying, fairy tale compromising hypocrites and heretics, traitors, prima donnas, crystal ball gazers engaging in mysticism betraying the Son Of God for "the thirty pieces of silver" of the temporal things of this life, loving yourself and your ease and comfort above all else, (2 Tim. 3/1-4), as you display "a form of Godliness" and ape past Pentecostal, Charismatic paraphernalia "denying the power thereof", (2 Tim. 3/5), as you go about casting your nets, snaring, enticing and alluring the simple and gullible;.............................. 2 Pet. 2, Jude:............................ ......................."come into my parlour said the spider to the fly":.......................
